Paper packaging industry revenue scale has stopped falling

With the in-depth industrial restructuring of China's paper packaging industry, the scale of China's paper packaging industry showed a downward trend after 2015.In 2021, China's paper and paperboard container manufacturing industry completed cumulative revenue of 319.203 billion yuan, up 13.56% year-on-year, ending the momentum of decline in consecutive years.In the first three quarters of 2022, China's paper and paperboard container manufacturing industry revenue reached 227.127 billion yuan, a slight decrease of 1.27% year-on-year.

Boxboard production keeps growing

Box paperboard is an important basic material and packaging material for the paper packaging industry, according to the China Packaging Federation data, 2018-2021 China's paper packaging industry box paperboard production is growing trend, 2021 production scale reached 16.840 million tons, an increase of 20.48%.

Fujian Province boxboard production first in the country

China's boxboard production of the top five provinces and cities in order is Fujian, Anhui, Guangdong, Hebei, Zhejiang, the top five provinces and cities production scale together accounted for 63.79%. Among them, Fujian Province 2021 production reached 3,061,900 tons, occupying 18.22% of the country, the scale of production ranked first in the country.

Corrugated box production fluctuates up

Corrugated boxes are the most important Packaging Paper products. According to data from the China Packaging Federation, the output of corrugated boxes in China's paper packaging industry fluctuated and grew in 2018-2021, with the production scale reaching 34.442 million tons in 2021, up 8.62% year-on-year.

Guangdong Province ranks first in corrugated carton production nationwide

The top five provinces and cities in China in terms of corrugated box production are Guangdong Province, Zhejiang Province, Hubei Province, Fujian Province, and Hunan Province, with the top five provinces and cities accounting for 47.71% of the total output. Among them, Guangdong Province will produce 10,579,300 tons in 2021, accounting for 13.67% of the country's output and ranking first in the country in terms of production scale.
